Can someone put a guilder in the meter?

One million people without power across North Holland, trains grinding to a complete halt, people having to be rescued from lifts, Schiphol partially closed....good work all round.

All the traffic lights at the huge junctions were out. Predictably, traffic was flowing smoother and more courteously than usual.

Everything went off within two minutes of me arriving at work - a couple of colleagues were trapped on the metro.

Good work all round indeed, I had a stinking hangover this morning so I very much enjoyed the grace period.

linus, I don't think the grid has been privatised.

All of the shares in TenneT are held by the Dutch state.
