No Alanis, THIS is ironic
Don't mean to come across as unfeeling, but - that gentleman was only 51? Really?
Viz the 'Hitlers Walk' (sic) story - well, good old Middle England once again. You'd think that having lived through the bloody war, some of these people might just see what the fuss was about, eh?

Weird that was the best (only?) photo the family could provide of him.
Given they could have scattered the ashes any time, why did he go down to the strand in a gale? Conspicuously absent in that story is any mention of him not having anything to drink before he tried it.

I've always considered the whole ash-scattering business twee nonsense but this is an excessive price to pay for being twee.
In fact, why even bother remembering our dead relatives at all?

They claim the road is not named after Adolf Hitler, but after an "overzealous local park warden" who was around in the 1930s.
locals say the two have never been seen together.
And was it necessary to accompany the story with two pictures of Hitler ? Just in case anyone doesn't know what he looked like ?
The second one there looks like something from a teen mag.
So bizarre.
