        The UK Police Misconduct Thread

Interesting news yesterday that apparently folk are to feel more secure after hundreds more people with guns are coming onto the streets of London.

Just look at the video of them on the Telegraph site. Safe!

And there goes another one -

                    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-tees-37088044

The article seems to imply that it's his unguarded comments about the private lives of celebrities that's lead to his dismissal.

Rather than he's unfit to hold public office:

He also called for an estate from the TV show Benefits Street to be bulldozed with "people still inside it".

The officer had previously worked in Stockton, Teesside, and policed the estate in the town where the programme was filmed.

The disciplinary hearing at the force's headquarters in Middlesbrough was told he tweeted the local Gazette newspaper about the programme and said: "Bulldoze it, preferably with the majority of people still inside it."
And that he's guilty of gross misconduct

PC Wise was also accused of accessing the force intelligence system to look up information on criminals, some of whom he went to school with, without justification.
                    And he's also an idiot.

The hearing was told PC Wise thought only his 170 followers - made up of family and friends - could see his tweets.

"Cole, a sports science student at Bedfordshire University, suffered a so-called hangman’s fracture, with experts saying it was the result of considerable force being used on his neck while his head was being pulled back. The investigation is considering if police officers were responsible for breaking his neck, and if they were, whether it amounts to an act of misconduct or criminality.

"The family claim police initially tried to mislead them in the immediate aftermath. They say one officer told them Cole was talking after his arrest. His family say medical evidence shows this would be impossible for someone whose spinal cord had been severed. Another allegedly claimed Cole was drunk but his family say medical tests show he was not."
This case is back in the news again today as the officers 'could face criminal charges'. However those charges don't seem all that strong in comparison to what happened to Cole.

No surprise. Hillsborough was South Yorkshire police's own catastrophic fuck up whereas at Orgreave they were under strict orders from 10 Downing St. Any in depth inquiry would reveal the extraordinary machinations of an administration on a class war footing. The real enemy within.

What an utterly unsurprising decision. As if the rock solid alliance of Tory scum and their lapdog private security thugs was ever going to be broken up.
