On Friday night I was dreaming about the UN Secretaries-General, and trying to remember who came between U Thant and Javier Pérez de Cuéllar, before waking up and remembering, unfortunately, Kurt Waldheim. Then I noticed in The Graun that on Sunday it was the birthday of Pérez de Cuéllar.

That one where you're alone in the General Assembly late at night? And you realize that you could stand at the podium and make a speech and there's no one there to stop you? So you stand and survey the empty room and start speaking? And suddenly, beneath the podium, you feel someone unzipping your fly? And in a few moments you're shouting "Boutros, Boutros, Golly!" at the top of your lungs?

I've not had that one either.
