Can anyone explain the PM system? What are the ticks and crosses meant to signify? And what do the different coloured dots mean? It's most confusing.

A cross means you've read it. A tick means you haven't. (Illogically enough).

Yes. I think so. The bright green dot means that the user in question is online. The grey dot means offline. Except that some people seem to have no dot at all, meaning that they're neither offline or online?, which seems unlikely.

My question is what does the little man shouting icon mean next to certain threads in each forum?
