Yes, they started out as SWP, before changing their name to PBP, and then finally joining up with the Socialists as Solidarity-PBP.

The logo is even the exact same as the Irish one, though quite what links remain between the English and Irish parties, I'm not sure.

The Irish PBP seems a bit more like a real thing, I suppose. From afar anyway - people on the ground would know better. The Irish SWP/M whatever has more or less stopped acting as itself now, and only acts through PBP.

They are linked to the rape-apologist rump-SWP in Britain, yeah - formally by both being members of the not-really-a-thing "International Socialist Tendency", and less formally through people moving back and forth as you'd expect between Britain and Ireland.

John Molyneux, one of the staunchest supporters of the defending-rapists-is-revolutionary-leadership faction which "won", lives in Ireland these days, I think, and is active in PBP I think.
