different pollen works in different ways in honey (e.g. lavender). Janik will be along with some chemistry in a bit, but honey can taste very different from hives say 20 miles apart.

Right. That's the kind of thing they might do if they were owned by a single billionaire nut. But as a publicly traded company, it would be irresponsible.

You might be relieved to find out that that, despite lots of studies on the subject, none of them have been able to show a direct link between sugar and hyperactivity in kids. At least not most kids.
Large amounts of sugar can contribute to inflammation, among other things, so that could be something. And some people can't digest it very well.

It's more a language than a chemo-biology thing, tbh. But it's wild how honey even exists, let alone how it's different and that.

              British Felt agrees with you.

However, I have also seen various cotton and synthetic felt-like substances sold as felt.

I've just learnt that Johnny Marr ripped off the guitar riff for How Soon Is Now? from this song.

I can't really hear it, but there was a sighting of OTF legend Diddy Fucking David Hamilton in the early part of that clip

Isn't it just a Bo Diddley riff slowed down?

My parents kept bees when I was a kid (my Dad watched The Good Life and thought it was a "how to live your life" documentary). You could definitely taste the difference between the years when the local farm were growing rape and when they were growing beans.

The VAT rate on caviar is 0%

(DogsTrust is doing a campaign comparing the VAT on dog food to zero VAT on caviar)

That would be a worthy campaign for Nicola Sturgeon, now that she's not so busy.

Yeah, it's less the riff than the technique itself I think he means. I can't hear the riff either, but the technique is there.

I love the (Mum &) Dad Dancing it that Disco Stomp video, and the outfits. Reminds me of extended family parties back then.

My coeliac daughter doesn’t eat sourdough. The problem is, even if it didn’t make her ill, all gluten does damage to a coeliac internally which makes their long term situation worse.

Same. And frankly, I was hooked on that song too, by about the mid-way point.

Yer Bo Diddly shuffle - Boom boom-boom CLAP CLAP - is a variation of a 3:2 clave, Cuban in origin. Very close relation of "shave and a haircut two bits", which plays silently in my head every time someone tells a terrible joke on here.

                                            That's very good.

Re the original point. the UK VAT rate on all human food sold unheated for take away is zero unless it fall within certain long-standing exceptions (confectionery, potato-based snacks etc). There's no reason why a food should attract VAT just because it's expensive.

I never knew it was Cuban. I'd always thought clave (the pattern, not the word) was west African. I came across it, and all the variants, when I used to play Brazilian percussion. Ta.

I *think* it's believed to have gone to Cuba from West Africa, but the direct jump is from Cuba.

Gotcha. Love a stretched reverse clave, I do.
