I've just now noticed, in my bibliography, three entries for an individual named "P.P. Wiener".

In fairness, DGLH, the country that you now live in almost certainly contains several times more Mistys than the rest of the world put together.
I knew a Misty from Edinburgh years ago. Her surname wasn't Banks, though.

I'd still be willing to bet money that the amount of Mistys in the United States as opposed to Britain would far outstrip the respective population ratios of the two countries.

Misty is a passe name. In the 1980s, the name Misty accounted for just over 1 in every 1000 baby names in the US. However, by 2003, it was less than 1 in every 10,000.

There is a researcher working for the Children's Institute in Cape Town going by the name Double-Hugh Marera.
Even if his surname didn't give him away as most probably Zimbabwean, the first name does. As Duncan Gardner will affirm, Zimbabwe is a goldmine for, er, unusual names.

Not to mention "Bernard". I mean, that's not a name I would associate with an African footballer in a million years. A Yorkshire medium paceman from the 1950s county team, yes. A Zimbawean midfielder, though?
