There also used to be a Japanese lady who did fresh sushi rolls at lunchtime on the Cambridge market and she'd make vegetarian ones just for me. They were delicious. I heard that she later set up a more wholesale business delivering to offices and colleges and the like. I hope she's still in business.

Has the Leeds battered and fried chip butty been mentioned on here yet? I keep seeing the video being shared on Facebook

Not directly, thought it's mentioned in the parmobomb article upthread.

Meanwhile I have just had a part share of a salt and pepper munchie box, a speciality claimed by Merseyside I believe, but like the parmo has spread its (in this case salty and peppery) wings.

They are a very local thing indeed and pretty much unheard of in their home county outside of The Potteries.

You can sometimes find them in random Sainsburys supermarkets around the country.

You're right Benjm, though you can (or could) get them at the Soup Kitchen, the only real reason to visit Stafford : http://www.thesoupkitchen.co.uk/

They're not fast food then though, as this place has waiter/waitress service and everything.
