As we're always doing Slimming World, or some other dieting thing, Pinch of Nom has tended to become our recipe site of choice.

      Anyway - last night, I made this - https://pinchofnom.com/recipes/smoky-bbq-chicken-pie/

I'm sure they're great and all, but I can't - won't give time to anyone or anything that uses the word "nom" with respect to food.

Anyway, this Chicken and chorizo rice is a good bet on a cold evening. And it'll take as much veg as you want to bung at it.

and for something a little sweeter, if you use this babka dough recipe, with this Babka filling instead you'll have a little (huge) piece of heaven.

TLMG (who is a much better cook than I, hence I am in charge of laundry instead) makes Chef John's Shrimp Etouffee on occasion, and I absolutely love it.

Maybe this is either widely known or a secret but what does the LM bit stand for?

I'm a little jealous - I'm eating the bread rolls left over from lunch in a hotel room in Egypt.

2 hours to go. It's bubbling away in the kitchen. I'm going to serve it over rice. What do you do?

I eat it with a little flatbread - but rice will do the job.

Hmm. We do have some garlic naan in the kitchen.
