Hang on, did Dan Quayle save the day?

    Comment

      He didn't hurt

Mike Pence might be the only person in the US who values Quayle's opinion

Though to be fair it seems that the Eastman memo was only given any credence by the handful of guys in the bunker after Bruno Ganz sent most of them away

I asked Mrs dglh if Quayle was recognized as a leading constitutionalist. "I guess so, at least to Mike Pence" was all she could muster.

I don't really know where to put this. Here seems to be as good a place as any

“The extremely serious criminal investigation that could send him to jail, the civil suits that could bankrupt him, the disbarment proceedings that may well end any opportunity to practice law ever again — it’s a tidal wave of problems with potentially devastating personal and professional consequences.”
So, imprisonment, bankruptcy, disbarment. Maybe it's just me and my lazy fondness for leisure time, but it strikes me that one of that trio may be less serious than the other two, at the age of 77.

Yes, though the shame of disbarment is significant, given how high the bar has been set

The writer seems to think that he would have difficulty generating funds without his law licence, but that misunderstands what he has been doing for the last 20 years and the myriad ways in which non-lawyers can make money off litigation.

But would anyone go near him at this point for his 'good guidance'? Radioactive would seem to be an understatement.

It was a nice touch that the scam company he and his associates used to allegedly defraud millions of dollars was called "Fraud Guarantee".

Lawyers are infamous for not believing their own arguments, but this is a particularly remarkable example of trying to run away once particularly toxic advice becomes public.

The revenue to wages correlation makes it look like a football club.

A lot of people trousered money on that wheeze.

It all looks like a rather pleasant get-together and if a reanimated corpse or two show up, well - bonus.
