"Ambassadors of nation states have certain privileges - including being able to present their credentials to the Queen".

Clearly the most important privilege on the list. And, that's a privilege?

And, predictably, the UK has now accorded full diplomatic recognition.

On a more positive note, Nissan stay in Sunderland and also seem to be pivoting towards EVs. God knows they need the new Ariya to be a success because the Leaf is a good car, but is very long in the tooth, lacks active battery management and uses a charging plug that's now the Betamax of the EV world in Europe and the US

Hmmm. Some people just don't deserve the vote.

Reading between the lines in the Guardian article (mention of sunlit uplands, free trade deal etc), I think the owner voted Leave as well.

Ah, fair enough - it was the "sunny uplands" that had me thinking that way.

It's a novel interpretation of "Global Britain" by HMG:

From the Observer; Move to EU to avoid Brexit costs, firms told.

So after "we" make sure that we're following "our" duty by reading a website because "we" need to find out which forms "we" have to fill in, now "we" have to go to the effort of moving to the EU to make "our" sunlit uplands less cloudy..

I'm sure that it would be considered churlish to point out that things might be easier, or just plain old "more efficient", if "they" could've been arsed to negotiate properly or even just prepare properly for the outcome of their actions.

On the other hand I pushed a Mercedes minibus up a hill in St.Asaph this morning. When I asked the driver if he needed any help he just told me that he'd had lost traction in the ice and snow.

I pushed from the back and it was tough to keep my footing but we slowly made progress. Whilst I worried about breathing in the exhaust fumes I consoled myself with the thought that at least this was snow and ice from an independent UK that was on its way prosper mightily.

After roughly 20 Earth minutes we were nearly at the top of the longest uphill part of the journey, whereupon the driver decided to turn around and use a different route to get where he was going, he offered me thanks as he reversed into the driveway of a mansion that was once owned by a local gangster.

Have Labour actually said anything about what a shit show it all is? I have a feeling they’re gonna try to wish away Brexit as a topic of discussion and end up losing more votes to the Lib Dems or something.

Starmer has mostly said how we have to "move on", Accept Brexit and give up free movement etc. They will almost certainly lose votes in cities etc in their quixotic Nandyesque attempt to Win Back The Towns.

Of course they fucking haven't. Can't be seen to be subverting the will of the people, can we?

Labour's silence on this would be deafening if it wasn't already being drowned out by their silence on the government's covid calamity.

I just presume anyone asking if Labour has actually said or done anything is taking the piss.

This must the first time in recorded history that a Government dept gave a company accurate and worthwhile advice on Brexit.
