Can't see it happening for another 20 years, but the 2016 absentees are intriguing:

The 2016 absentees are depressing. Those that weren't too young at the time could have voted this way in the referendum too.

They could all have been too young at the time, we can't tell from the information presented and it does line up with the age cohort to their right.

What it doesn't tell you is how big each of the groups is. It doesn't tell you what proportion of the population didn't vote in 2016, similarly it's hard to detect that the 55+ sector is about as big as the other two put together.

So, we need a lot more Covid then?

Somewhat of a muddled question here in that the Protocol is, by its nature, designed to eliminate the need for choice, but it's clear that the majority in NI want some connection to the Single Market:

It would be ironic if Switzerland ended up joining the Single Market before the UK ever considers it:

In real terms, EU exports to the UK grew by €7 billion to €206bn, and UK exports to the bloc fell by €20bn to €101bn, meaning the trade surplus/deficit depending on perspective grew from €77bn to €105bn between September 2020 and September 2021.

They definitely need us more than we need them.

Tom McTague with his usual pseudo-intellectual, pro-Tory analysis of the NI Protocol.

He ignores the real driver for fucking Johnson and Frost, which is that NI can't have a deal more advantageous than Racist Island, lest the Scots grow more restive and even England start to question the wisdom of fucking buccaneering Brexit.

As if the Tories have ever given a flying fuck for the sensitivities of their sashy brethren. Ask Carson.

School trips from EU countries to the UK appear to have collapsed, with Ireland and the Nordic countries the main beneficiaries:

He is, but a lot of this is theatre. Before he (and the Tories) decided to go all in on hard right euroscepticism his rhetoric was very different. I was at a hustings for the 2015 election and he made a strong pro-immigration statement and said he respected all the parties opposing him except UKIP. (Of course that could have been theatre, and this is what he really thinks, I suppose).

I'd be quite happy for him to be stabbed to death and Shrewsbury to finally get the city status it has missed out on repeatedly. I think that's how it works now.

Is you guys or Hereford who can get away with killing Welshmen with a bow and arrow?

Appears to have been an urban myth in any case.

That's Chester, I think. And only in the confines of the Cathedral property.

Shrewsbury used to have a ban on Welshmen in the town centre after dark. It may still be on the statute books.
