It helps gee up the base, while giving friendly outlets an excuse for another couple of volleys of nonsense that helps deflect/avoid news of real problems.

This has become the Tory equivalent of voting to repeal "Obamacare".

Always a delight to hear Andrew Bridgen getting utterly dismantled live on air.

A useful thread on the Protocol tweaks that the Commission will unveil on Wednesday, with GB exports separated into "green and red lines" for NI and the EU respectively, and that the EU would sooner tear up the entire Withdrawal Agreement, rather than see checks between Ireland and France.

That's the saddest "like" I've ever given.

This is a pretty good thread.

That is quite an interesting thread, but it is a bit off to concede that the Trump Administration would never have sacrificed Ireland only to claim that the rabble are praying for his return to get them out of their predicament

I suppose it could be argued that the rabble are so daft that their only hope is a forlorn one.

Frost's much-touted speech today predictably proved to be little more than a Violet Bott impression, so the real substance behind tomorrow, when the Commission's proposal is finally made public.

Is there any detail at all on what the UK position involves other than removing ECJ oversight?

The report on the EU offer suggests they've been incredibly generous. Why?

The idea is that unionism could eventually be pragmatic about an offer, which is ever a futile exercise.

Apparently we have more job vacancies than people looking for work in the UK.

Lord Frost attempted to explain the UK's Brexit stance with as much confident intelligence as Lord Percy trying to make polite conversation with Lord and Lady Whiteadder.

I also see the recently ex-MP but newly ennobled Lord Goldsmith has kindly lent his holiday villa to our arsehole in chief.

Rich people lending their holiday homes and villas to UK Prime Ministers and their families eh

They are taking this "New Labour" lookalike stuff seriously, aren't they?
