Elvis Presley is 85, and still gets around a lot.

Bill McLaren, for many people the man who essentially introduced them to rugby on the telly and seems to have been a good egg, died at 86.

Possibly, because Mike Yarwood is still alive at 79.

Carter's best epitaph was from his sassy Mom, Miz Lilian. "If I'd known how our Billy and Jimmy would turn out, I'd have stayed a virgin"

She was wrong though. Carter was a reasonable president and is still a fantastic ex-president. It's just a shame that no-one listens to him

Some great euphemisms there, the big man from Ecclefechan. "A bit of argy-bargy" covered anything from GBH to pre emotive nuclear strike

                                I stopped being a child.

Also, I haven't seen any of this things in a long time. But when I was a teenager, I watched his series on PBS. I don't have cable now, but I guess I could find a way to watch his latest work.

Unfortunately, he's all about climate change now and that's all just too depressing. I am about 95% sure that the planet is going to be mostly dead in about 100 years. I don't need to be reminded.

Angela Lansbury - Oscar nominated in 1944 and 1945 (Gaslight and The Picture of Dorian Gray).

                                  She turned 95 this month.
