The search for Fungie the Dingle dolphin enters day five.

He's at least 45 and the usual lifespan of bottlenose dolphins is around 50, so I don't think it's going to be good news. I've been in Dingle about 10 times, and I've never had any interest in going out to see him, but it's going to hit a lot of people hard.

ah, that reminds me of a lovely holiday my then gf (now wife) had touring Ireland back in 2005, which took in a night in Dingle. Sadly we didn't see much of it because my gf was stuck in our room ill with a tummy bug. Hope Fungie is OK.
