Eight for me, all already taken. London, Paris, Tokyo, Moscow, St Petersburg, New York, Philadelphia (I got married there), Los Angeles, and , I rubbed up against Nagoya by going to Toyota City, but while it's in the same prefecture its about 15 miles outside the city and I don't think I can claim it. We got the bullet train to Nagoya and changed, but that fails under the same rule as airports.

I'll claim Yangon, though I can hardly believe it has over 5 million. When I went there it was Rangoon, and felt more like 5 thousand.
I could probably tick off some of those remaining Chinese cities if we're talking about changing trains, maybe even spending a night. But I have no memory of them whatsoever. In the 1980s the overwhelming colour of China was grey.

I think that's 22. You can check me off for Fukuoka. It's the main city of Kyushu, the southernmost main island of Japan. My maternal grandparents hailed from country towns outside of Fukuoka.

Tactical Genius must be able to knock Lagos off
I'd guess cantagalo will have been to Belo Horizonte
Can't believe no-one here has been to Riyadh. Former member Lodzubelieveit worked in Saudi for a bit, but he's no longer around. Other former (banned) member Linus will have been to Baghdad, I'll wager, but not sure about anyone else. I just checked the recent Guadalajara thread and all the respondents were of the "I haven't been but i know someone who has" variety. But steveeeeeeeee will soon be able to cross it off the list.
