the aim is to silence any opposition. The use Of the Charity commission- headed of course by a Tory apparatchik is quite scary.

A couple of years ago my much better half and myself were given a year long pass to the NT as a Xmas present. We used it zero times.
Every time I drive past here https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/attingham-park if think about the exploitation required to build and own such a monstrosity.
The NT have been a willing actor in perpetuating the myth of Empire and the 'Big House' for decades and, for me, will have to go long way before I feel any sympathy for them.
They need to buy up more poor houses and back to back housing and show that history, before I even contemplate putting money in their coffers.
And don't get me started on parking charges down the Cardingmill Valley.....

So the Home Secretary after being warned that there had been a far right attack on a law firm shortly after an incendiary speech she made, made another one.

Even for you Guy, what? The Gards in Ireland now have legal powers to enforce the 5km limit (of course they are barely doing anything on the roads and nothing at all about public transport being overcrowded with unmasked bastards on non essential journeys cos Policing by Consent, or something). Micheal Martin is not auditioning to be the new Orban, I doubt Sturgeon is either (even if weegie cops are especially cunty).
