It's the word you use for Starmer if you are a sensible journalist or a sensible Labour MP. Doesn't matter that it's meaningless bollocks.

I am. 6 months. I can vote on the NEC elections then, try and keep him honest - if he doesn't backtrack on his ten pledges, I'll be content enough with that, all things considered. In the meantime I'll keep arguing with some of his more rabid fans.
I think, what's sometimes missed, is that as the dust clears following the GE and his election, those of us that joined cos of Corbyn have actually shifted the party somewhat to the left. If he wins with his Mr Sensible hat on, the policies enacted will be to the left of what they would have been pre-Corbyn. The Labour right are moribund.
That said, I can immediately see the counter-argument to that optimism. I would have made it myself before I joined Labour - it's amazing what being a party member can do to the mindset. I also think it's important to stay outside the party campaigning, agitating etc. One doesn't preclude the other.

[* - genuinely, it does feel a bit cheap having a pop like that. All the best. I hope you leave Labour soon. ]

No problems. I had that pop at a number of friends and acquaintances over the years, I get it completely.
I'm also staying cos of the commitment to the Green New Deal. I genuinely think that the Labour right would water it down given half the chance, and making sure they don't via CLP and the NEC is crucial, should Mr Sensible succeed.

There's plenty to have a go at Starmer for, but the Daily Mail going for him cos he asked a camera operator whether he had enough footage before crossing the road to get his daughter seems pretty small beer. It just seemed polite to me - every politician, including Corbyn, will be ensuring that whoever's filming them (whether it's Sky or their partner) has enough footage to put on whichever outlet they want to. It's this performative element of politics that sticks in the craw, but in this case Starmer's no different from the rest.

They got Ed Milband with a sandwich and articles about his Dad. Why they think Starmer will be immune simply because he supplies the Telegraph with unthreatening articles is beyond me.
It is darkly amusing to see the likes of Campbell whining about using the media pushing a false narrative and ignoring the people saying that he had done so for the past four years.

Is anyone else getting really tired of whiny classroom behavior like this?

Labour aren't going to win fuck all whilst factionalism like this continues.
