    Non-Covid news events

The people of Ireland are agog, and glued to all possible media platforms, as counting in the Seanad election begins today.

Apparently the Daily Mail headline today isn't Corona related, which is the first such one I've seen in ages. Something to do with arry and Meghan instead.

The Daily Mail trumpeting Trump, unfortunately. The beeb reported it too. A non story about how The Orange had told Meghan and Harry he wasn't paying for their security as if that was some kind of triumph of Presidential defiance. They hadn't fucking asked him to.

Ronan Mullen elected on the first count in NUI, with former Tánaiste Michael McDowell close behind.

I think it's the name for the colour graphics system from around 1990. Maybe a little earlier. The screen looks like it was written for an MS DOS computer.

It was what PCs had up until 1984. 4 colour palettes.

I really think that is the work of the UK media to be honest. I only knew they were in LA on behalf of my DM reader Mother. She also continued to tell me how Harry is her (Megan's) lap-dog.
