Most countries figures for deaths are either complete bullshit, or they don't have the resources to properly calculate them.

Yes, I'm extremely dubious about most of the figures we're seeing, though I suspect that a fairly accurate picture will eventually emerge in a few years time.

Here's an update on corona-virus deaths per million head of population:

          1. Belgium - 864
          2. UK - 700
          3. Peru - 658
          4. Spain - 610
          5. Italy - 582
          6. Sweden - 565
          7. Chile - 538
          8. USA - 497

Apparently the UK is to recalculate how corona-virus deaths are counted because they are including people who died of other causes - e.g. car accidents. But because they had previously had covid19 or there are traces in their blood stream they have still been counted.
Coronavirus deaths per million were highest in Belgium, topping a list of 189 countries worldwide.

Lots going on in the World with regards to corona-virus statistics. First of all last week the UK removed 5,000 deaths as they decided they were unrelated, or to put it another way they died with covid-19 and not of it (e.g. in a car crash). The second thing is that Peru has come out of nowhere and now has the World's second worst outbreak of Covid-19 although we don't know how they are collecting their data. Belgium is only top because they include suspected cases and not proven ones. It makes for jolly good reading though.

Anyway, here is the latest league table for covid 19 deaths per million head of population:

                1. Belgium 873
                2. Peru 838
                3. UK 622
                4. Spain 616
                5. Italy 585
                6. Sweden 569
                7. Chile 564
                8. Brazil 530

Interesting, Belgium today removed 117 deaths from its coronavirus toll, whilst Peru now has the worst outbreak. I would expect that Belgium figure will be reduced an awful lot at some point.

                  1. Peru - 875
                  2. Belgium - 864
                  3. UK - 623
                  4. Spain - 620
                  5. Chile - 586
                  6. Italy - 586
                  7. Sweden - 571
