Even the UK's official figures have now overtaken Italy in terms of deaths per million population (541).

Canada has now had more cases and nearly 2,000 more deaths than China.

Saudi Arabia has recorded over 70,000 cases but only 379 deaths so far. Those numbers seem odd to me. No idea what's happening there.

Were Cummings' wife's parents not available to look after the kids?

Cummings' family member ought to be arrested for lying to the police.

Note that more than half of the cases (46,838 of 83,838) and more than half the deaths (3,940 of 6,352) are from Quebec alone.

Today is the first day since official reporting started on January 11th that China has reported ZERO new cases and ZERO new deaths.

There are only three states in the USA that individually have fewer than 800 cases, Alaska, Hawaii and Montana.

Brazil has overtaken Russia in terms of total number of cases (it already had more deaths) and is nearing 350,000 cases.

Just for context, South Korea's much discussed "second wave" is currently producing about 25 new infections a day. The UK's lowest daily increase in cases since the lockdown started is more than 2,400.

Globally, over the last week, there have been several days where we've seen more than 100,000 new cases each day, the highest daily totals so far being around 106-107,000. This has not peaked yet.

Multiple reports emerging of this. One of the dates he was spotted there was his wife's birthday btw...

Afghanistan has more than 10,000 cases and 218 deaths. The Taliban has just declared a three day ceasefire to coincide with Eid. Maybe that will help more people to access treatment.

Germany reached 180,000 cases today, but new infections were down to only 34 and new deaths were only 3 (out of 8,369). Germany has handled this far better than almost any other European country (Ireland and some of the Eastern European countries are also doing quite well).

Number plate recognition technology means that the precise movements of his vehicle will be known. If his movements do not match with the PM's statement any leak and Johnson will be in serious trouble after tonight's statement.

All right, his position will be significantly weakened. House of cards and all that.

If this is meant to be Johnson shutting the story down then he's doing his usual shit, half-arsed lazily incompetent job of it.
