    Limbo of the Lost

Game blatantly rips off other games.

How on earth did these guys think they would get away with it?

That's brilliant. They'll be sued for every last penny.

An antidote to that tale is a Canadian guy who tried to sue the makers of the Trivial Pursuit board game for untold millions. His claim? While unemployed (and living with his mum) and hitchhiking through Nova Scotia in the late '70s, he'd been picked up by one of the (future) game's creators and told him about this idea he had for a trivia-based board game. A couple of years later, the game came out. In court he couldn't prove anything, nor could he produce any of the preliminary sketches and questions he claimed to have. Nor could he explain why he'd waited over 20 years to file his claim. All he had was his mother's say-so in the matter. It was quickly dismissed.

It's an old and dishonourable tradition in computer games.
