I'm going to be going on a cruise next month. Pretty much a day's sightseeing in each of Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Manama, Doha, Sir Bani Yas, Muscat and Khasab. Any OTF tips for things to see onshore? We're definitely interested in visiting the grand mosque in Abu Dhabi, going on the nature reserve tour on Sir Bani Yas and the dhow trip around the Arabian fjords in Khasab. We've been to Dubai before and went to the top of the Burj Khalifa so won't be doing that this time, we'd like to sneak in to one of the posh hotels on the beach if we can - is that possible?

Khasab sounds nice. Abu Dhabi isn't my favourite Emirate, but the grand mosque and the Louvre could be worth a trip. Dubai - you can pay for beach and facilities at most decent hotels. I'd recommend tea at the Burj al Arab - we really enjoyed it. Muscat - take a trip around the Souq at Muttrah; it's authentic and lively. Manama, Doha - I've only played rugby there and walked into an anti-USA demo in Bahrain.Comment
