I know it’s inappropriate to suggest any sexual chemistry between a woman journalist and a male politician but when you watch this clip you wonder...

That's an exemplary piece of writing by Oborne.

Sarah Pascoe nails it about Johnson and Kuenssberg, I'm shocked that was broadcast.

John Ware also said that Johnson had a four plus year sexual relationship with Jennifer Accuri.

Yet people still believe this serial adulterer and sociopath is fit for office.

Johnson also defended Andrew Windsor as well. Those are his standards.

In reality those are the standards of the UK.

This bit in the Oborne piece got a "What the actual fuck?" from me.

I have talked to senior BBC executives, and they tell me they personally think it’s wrong to expose lies told by a British prime minister because it undermines trust in British politics.
A real "as popular war advances, peace is closer" moment.

Listening to the BBC yesterday was also a wtf moment. Justin Webb has decided to take over from John Humphrys as the resident and clear Tory. His interview with John Ware about the Jennifer Arcuri story seemed to be about balance but clearly wasn't. Nick Robinson then interviewed someone else, I forget who, and went on pure attack mode.

Do we need to know that Johnson has denied an affair with Arcuri? Iirc he actually hasn't said that but rather says there was no improper conduct.

                  Comment

Seeing as Johnson isn't married, he can't technically have an affair and the "improper conduct" denial can be passed away as referring to the awarding of grants, trips etc.

It bugs the shit out of me that such absolute bog standard responses are never called out. For example -

"Did you take money from this person?"
"That is an outrageous allegation and I'm appalled that someone of your integrity and professionalism has made it"

                    Is never followed up with

                    "That is not a 'No'".

Ah hell, yes he was, wasn't he? I was thinking that he had been with Symonds then.

He may well have been, but he was still married until earlier this year

The lack of "don't know/they were both as bad as each other" responses in the Yougov poll is odd.* But 49% for Corbyn is worth more than that given how much Yougov's methodology normally under-represents Labour support anyway.

*Maybe "never-Corbyns" and "never-Johnsons" are filtered out?

Yes, You Gov took out all the "Don't Knows". It was a 51/49 split among those who expressed a definite preference.

I've seen a tweet that goes into the methodology behind the YouGov poll and indicates that voters who have not decided scored it Corbyn 54%, Johnson 38%, don't know 8%.
