I've just watched a recording of the BBC lunchtime news and lo and behold the Labour NHS document story was the second item on.

I'm not sure that putting a story about a major political party's election manifesto launch on first is an example of obvious political bias.

Only about 3-4m people in the UK are even able to vote for the SNP, slightly less important frankly than a major dispute between the only 2 parties with any prospect of leading a government

a regional party for which just over a tenth of the population can vote for...

Not just a major dispute, but an issue which affects every UK citizen and which continually tops the polls as being of most concern.

Hands up if you think the BBC would have put the Chief Rabbi's statement behind the SNP Lauch....

BTW is Peter Oborne not unpartisan enough for you? He's fucking Tory for fuck's sake. The only people standing up for the BBC, literally the only people (aside from yourself, for reasons unknown), are people who are well known Johnson minions and fawning sycophants.

Anything that stops Corbyn is good, because the next Labour leader will get an easy ride from the Press. Just ask Ed Miliband.

I think that the BBC would have been accused of ignoring Scotland or somesuch if they'd shifted the launch down the running order.

Yes. I'm at home at the moment, my Sky box is set to always record the lunchtime BBC news and I usually watch it shortly afterwards.

                      Problem?

                      Comment

Not a problem, no. I think it's probably fairly unusual and I can't imagine doing it myself, but I've not been much of a watcher of TV news bulletins for a long time anyway.

                        Comment

OK, I didn't think it was that unusual but there you go.

What do you think about this, Lucy? Normal behaviour from the State broadcaster? am I partisan for objecting?

I think reasons unknown is a bit unfair, I took some time to explain my thinking. Peter O hates Johnson more than anything else - certainly including Corbyn - so I'm not sure he's your reliable witness.

You reduce his utter disdain for Johnson and what he perceives has been done to his party of choice to nothing more than snide contempt because he's well jell... It also makes a complete mockery of Oborne, and suggests that you do not know nearly enough about him. That's exactly how it reads, in lieu of any balance on your part, where you look for points of contention within the labour party, but aren't so quick to do so for other sides. It's very clear to see.

What I have not seen during this campaign to oust Corbyn once and for all is any coverage assigned to prominent members of the jewish community who have come out in support of Corbyn, from John Bercow to author Naomi Klein, poet Michael Rosen, actress Miriam Margolyes and many more, nor have I seen that acknowledged in the clamour to skewer Corbyn for anything and everything. Why do I only see criticism of Corbyn in newspapers and mainstream news, while at the same time being very aware of the support he has, but only discovering such things via social media?
Somebody else on here also pointed out the chief rabbi's very close friendship with Johnson, a point nary acknowledged. Nothing untoward about that, no?

The Bbc are really punishing Johnson for not committing to the debates with some tough questions

And is the lead item on the 10 O'Clock news report.

Maybe they’ve responded to pressure -just as they did with the apology for cutting Johnson’s Question Time appearance- which they’ve first denied.

kuennsberg is still at it tho

I've worked with him a few times, I certainly don't have snide contempt for him. I wasn't reflecting on his views other than in the context of him being an impartial observer of the BBC's coverage of Johnson and Corbyn, which I don't think he'd claim for a moment he is.
