Agreed, AE. I've never felt like I needed to go on social media. There are many reasons for this but one of them is that I get everything I need here on OTF. So a big thank you to Nef and everyone else too.

Sudden change in the Beeb's headline to say "No apology from Corbyn over antisemitism claims".

That's because of what's happened in the interview with Andrew Neil.

What, exactly, has he got to apologise for? Him, personally, that is.

Things happening in the party he leads? Comments and/or actions linked to members of it? Delays in dealing with disciplinary cases? Something along those lines, I suppose. Responsibility being taken by the man at the top. If he didn't think he had anything to apologise for he should have said so.

He has apologised in numerous occasions, but it makes no difference.

Then he should have said that and apologised again if need be. By refusing to do so he came over terribly on the programme.

Why the fuck were Labour announcing an Israeli arms boycott in the closing stages of a campaign where they are constantly being smeared by the media as anti-semetic?

What are they thinking? That some Lib Dem/Lab swing voter is going to go, "oooh Israeli boycott, I'm sold now!"

There was only ever going to be a downside, and no upside.

The whole labour campaign is like when Nu Lab decided to have an Ethical Foreign Policy, which fucked Robin Cook, expect he wasn't leader and was expendable. Already agreeing to renew Trident is the start of chipping away at Corbyn's Soundness, and he's unlikely to get any positive benefit (esp in Scotland bar one seat and scattered orange/army cunts) from aligning with the Hard Bollocked Pragmatic Reality wing that want the Nuke option to be on hand in Clydeside Fjords.

bit yeah there's prob a time to bring up BDS (that I support) and it's not now if you want power.

Would have been best to avoid foreign policy as much as possible the whole campaign I fear.

it may have been a mistake, but it would have made no difference whatsoever. The swhirlwind was coming regardless of ewhat Corbyn said or did. Cornbyn is traduced for being on the same platfor as someone who may have said something too critical of Zionists.

Boris Johnson is a racist who as Spectator published the work of an open antisemite for ten years. Nobody gives a shit. The establishment is doing all it can to prevent Corbyn being Prime Minister. They would rather have fascism and Brexit than a few years of Scandinavian social democracy.

I'd argue it's probably the best time to say you're proposing an end to arms sales to Israel. It's demonstrably not anti semitic and it shifts the debate.

Also it's got nothing to do with BDS

I guess the BBC thing is more surprising for people like me. I grew up with no perception of bias because I was the market it was biased towards, white, middle-class, English. I guess people from other backgrounds realised long before I did that the whole "neutral" stance was bollocks.

Sometimes I think he doesn't really want to be PM. Sometimes, I say.
