My twitter is full of footage of demonstrations in Egypt. Nothing on BBC or Guardian though.

From what I can see, Sisi has flown to the US for the UN and there are street demonstrations which aren't being put down by the police.

From what I hear, in fighting amongst the corrupt army and based on the most militant Egyptian facebook friends I have, there is zero appetite for "the people" to support any corrupt, hacked-off military big-wig against Sisi, no matter how much he is despised. I get the impression, if he's going to go, it won't be via protests and whoever could possibly replace him, will just be another corrupt military dictator.
