Really hard to judge, but 10 million USD wouldn't surprise me at all (especially given the rates her lawyers charge).

So maybe in the range of 15 million USD when one takes into account his legal and other fees.

No matter how brave you have been in exposing such crimes, putting yourself subject to cross examination for a civil case has significant mental health risks associated.

Not to mention the inherent risk of a US jury, particularly when a "celebrity" is involved. He only needed to get one credulous type to hang the trial and leave her facing the spectre of doing it all over again.

Probably because although she had a good case it would have meant going through a complete character assassination and exposure of her entire sexual history had she gone through with the case, and I don't think anyone would have been swayed from what they already believe anyway.
