No comments on Grumpy Cat's untimely demise, then?

Surprised we haven't had a thread yet. Front page news yesterday (Times and S*n). An Internet sensation and meme generator worth approx £70 million, and dead at the tragically young age of 7.

    RIP, Grumpy Cat.

I didn’t realize she was so young. Now I’m much sadder.

Not sure, but the Huddersfield Station Cat went off to that great ticket office in the sky a couple of years back.

Did it ever get to be station master?

I met the Mayor of Talkeetna once.

Not sure what it says about me and my online activity, but I had to Google to see what this 'grumpy cat' thing is

Maybe he was grumpy because he wasn't feeling very well for most of the time.

Some of those internet memes are getting on a bit.

The dancing baby is now 23 years older. The Hampster Dance hamsters would be about seven or eight generations on by now. Mahir "I Kiss You!" Cagri is nearly 70. And All Your Bases have Belonged To Us for almost 20 years and are probably in need of refurbishment.

She is, and has risen to be Senior Pest Controller (there is an apprentice kitten called Bolt but he is too young to wander around the platforms/tracks like Felix does).
Felix is responsible for 99% of positive PR Transpennine Express receives.

The Tama story is indeed superb, but this is very revealing

As a result of her promotion, she was "the only female in a managerial position" in the company.

Yeah, that was highlighted by the podcast I heard about Tama on, Baby Geniuses
