The USS Liberty and the coming war on Iran

Been reading this article, which is very thorough and in depth, but I don;t know the site, so I'm slightly uncertain at this stage how much weight I should give it. The journalist who wrote it would seem to have pretty impeccable credentials, but, obviously these days one needs more than one source. I checked out the wikipedia page on the Liberty incident which is hugely long, and certainly leaves the false flag explanation very much open. So, I guess, a couple of questions:
    1) Any thoughts or insights into the Liberty attack?
    2) Can we avert the war on Iran that certain prominent members of the US government seem hell bent on?
Israel’s false flag attack on the U.S.S. Liberty in 1967 cost 34 American lives. Cheney planned to disguise U.S. troops as Iranians to fire on American ships. With Bolton and Israel on the warpath, the risk of similar act is higher than ever.

Is it harder or easier to disguise such false flag operations today, with the advances in technology?

One factor that makes it easier is the decline in journalism.

In better news, Spain at least is standing up to the Bolton led calls for war https://www.reuters.com/article/us-u...-idUSKCN1SK106

Bolton got cock blocked on Venezuela, so he's looking for another target to thrust his war Viagra engorged member into.

I get that mike Pompeo wants a massive war to bring about the rapture. But What is the story with John Bolton? what is his motivation for going to war with North Korea (At the cost of tens of millions of lives) or a war with Iran, which..... would not go well for the US, were they to invade.

I think he genuinely buys into an extreme version of the PNAC nonsense. An American Exceptionalism that believes inherently that the US is good for the world, and that it would be better if the US had nobody who opposed it. And also that the projection of US military power is the best way to achieve this. If people see how strong and tough America is, they'll want to be just like us. And the US will invade and make countries become like America which can only be a good thing. North Korea and Iran have been standing up to the US for too long, and the only way to Americanise them is by smashing the shit out of them, and who cares if a few million people die on the way because it will make the lives of the other 7 billion people on the planet more Americanish.

Bolton combines that version of Paleolithic Neo-Conservatism, a twisted machismo that believes that hegemons who aren't engaged in war are neutered, and a fawning affection for and reliance on sources of funds and/or support (Adelson, Likud, the Saudis, revanchist Latinos, MEK, etc.) who feed his fantasies and direct his energies against certain targets.

He is as horrible a human as he is dangerous in his current role.

                      And Gibraltar ignores them both.
