The real risk with this, of course, (aside from a database of the wanking habits of the tech un-savvy) is that LGBT sites will the accidentally-on-purpose flagged up as porn websites that aren't carrying out the correct checks and so blocked by uk ISPs.

I fairly regularly end up in countries in which the internet is censored at a national level. The one thing they have in common is that they're all run by authoritarian governments. But of course not all authoritarian governments censor - Hungary, for example, does not (yet) do so. This puts the UK behind Hungary in terms of freedoms, which is not really a place where it ought to be.
