Oh right, if you stick around for about 1 billion years the sun will be 10% hotter, which will cause the oceans of Earth to evaporate away.

Well Biden gets partial credit, he's not that far in reference to Honduras for instance, where it was Obama/Clinton that oversaw the coup against Zelaya, which triggered the humanitarian crisis there and the mass refugee exodus. With people like Abrams in charge of Latin American foreign policy, we can expect more of the same under Trump.

Glacial/interglacial cycling is caused by the orbital parameters of the Earth around the Sun, which scientists can actually calculate very accurately millions of years into the past and future (the movement of the planets around the Sun is surprisingly predictable). The scientists have done so, and the current interglacial is going to be a long one.

This should be immediately disqualifying for any Democratic hopeful.

Steve Bullock, another bipartisan-ish, red/purple state-ish , governor is in the race as of today, joining Inslee and Hickenlooper. And, like them, I expect him to make almost no impact. I'm not sure what he offers that's not already in the mix.

If you were a ridiculously wishful thinker, I suppose you might have believed in 2008 when Obama replaced Bush and the Republicans got spanked that they'd finally come to their senses.
But if you'd spent any time working in the Obama administration, surely you'd have been rapidly disabused of the notion that the Republican Party will suddenly become sane and reasonable after a massive electoral defeat following a President who borrowed and spent like crazy and did ludicrously unpopular things. Maybe Joe is so senile that he doesn't even remember any of the past decade?

He's some fatuous wank anyways. I'd say the pizzagate memes will be pushed strongly if he gets the nomination, fascist ref poll Twitter are already having a field day with his hands wandering over kids and young womens' bodies in photo ops.

“The new integration plans being offered are really just quota systems to assure a certain number of blacks, Chicanos, or whatever in each school. That, to me, is the most racist concept you can come up with,” he continued. “What it says is, ‘In order for your child with curly black hair, brown eyes, and dark skin to be able to learn anything, he needs to sit next to my blond-haired, blue-eyed son.’ That’s racist! Who the hell do we think we are, that the only way a black man or woman can learn is if they rub shoulders with my white child?”

One of those increasingly rare occasions on which the Post does in fact speak for all New Yorkers

They all do.
And a group of rich dudes who are willing to fund what they see as a brand building exercise for the candidate and a chance to extort additional benefits for themselves.
He also sees it as one-upping his mortal enemy the governor, who is now conclusively no longer the least self-aware man in New York politics.

US poster question. All these people running for President who clearly know they have no chance of winning. Why is it, Is it a way of increasing their profile, position themselves as a power brokers within the party, to increase their attractiveness to the private sector (for when they retire from public office). Or is it a convenient tax avoidance scam or a pit to wash dodgy money?

There is a reasonable amount of data that supports the view that it is a successful "brand building" exercise. The advent of 24 hour news channels has also meant that it does not have to be that expensive, as all of the exposure they provide is gratis. An obvious indication of the "value" of this nonsense is that the candidate can command higher speaking fees, which are an important source of outside income to our political class.
Note that we don't have the concept of parliamentary immunity, so the practice of running for office to avoid prosecution is virtually unknown here (also because the existence of multiple, independent levels of prosecutors makes it much more difficult for them all to be captured at the same time.

Looks Like Joe Biden has given up on Black people and are going after the (Racist) White vote. Symone Sanders was busy splaining on the 1995 crime bill.
