Just as long as Democratic voters not start believing this, so think they can sack off voting as it's already a done deal. OK, there is the 'why would they?' question (doing so means believing the presidential election was not as patently free and fair as was clearly the case), but there is also the 'people are lazy and eager for any get out' issue.

Write-ins are indeed invalid in Georgia runoffs

OK. So we say that's fake news.

Write in Trump, write in Trump!

          "Patriots" already on the case

A pro-Trump Georgia lawyer, Lin Wood, who tried unsuccessfully to stop the state's election certification, vowed not to vote in the runoffs if the "unlawful" November election isn't addressed.

He is requesting a special session to change election law, an idea that Kemp, Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan and Georgia House Speaker David Ralston have rejected because it would result in "endless litigation."

While still a fringe position, a political committee associated with onetime Trump adviser Roger Stone urged voters to punish the GOP by writing in the president's name on the runoff ballots.

"With enough write-ins in the Georgia senate race, we can tilt the balance in Georgia in Trump's favor!" the group's website said. "If we can do this, we have a real chance at getting these RINO senators to act on the illegitimate and corrupt election presided over by a Democrat party that is invested in the Communist takeover of Our Great Nation."

These Communists, eh? They get everywhere.

Stone is on a grift there rather than espousing a sincere position, but there must be a serious risk that Trump's base takes over the party in Georgia during the next year and uses the threat of primary challenges* to institute constitutional changes that would create an even more Jim Crow election system there. And these fuckers really would write in Trump on a primary ballot if told to.

*Kemp is up for reelection in Nov 2022.

I thought that Chuck and Nancy would have to be playing hardball to create difficult votes for Loeffler and Perdue. It appears that the Republicans don't need any help from outside in making this as hard for themselves as possible.

They'll still probably win because it's so structurally set up in their favour, but I like that they're giving us some entertainment along the way.

Not sure that Chuck and Nancy know what hardball is.

So... NPR (National Public Radio) runs on a donor model. When they do a fund drive, they have times where extremely wealthy donors offer a "gift match" so your dollar becomes $2, $3, (they normally only have on or two double gift match things).

Any subscription discount on the Washington Post is just going to be bailed out by Jeff Bezos anyway as the extremely wealthy guy who owns the newspaper.

Someone said Trump spent $3m in Wisconsin on a recount that gave Biden 89 more votes, is that true? Hilarious if so.
