Is this the dullest "news story" ever?

And in the New York Times, no less

This is the kinda thing that would attract mockery in the provincial papers, yet here it is. It happened in Brooklyn, of course, where many Important People like writers and artists and stuff live. So it is newsworthy.

We locked someone in the bar one night. I noticed him just as the taxi pulled away to take me home. I was tempted to leave him, but he'd have been locked in all weekend. And set all the alarms off, nicked the booze, and probably created all manner of mayhem.

It's a dull story alright, but it's also - and I can't help but feel this - the true-life basis for a moderately money-spinning Hollywood teen comedy of Seth Green proportions. Produced, of course, by Adam Sandler.

Lock-In - there, you can almost see the opening credit title.
