    The WTF? Thread

I forgive your not knowing that Leeds United are the Peacocks.

You've clearly been focusing on other matters. The only one of those I've heard of is the plant food.

In any event, this sounds more like meth than heroin, no?

I also haven't heard "high five ward" before. Is it Irish, English or both?

Hmm. Lots of knowledge there, Mr Berbaslug.

I think I see where some of your 'theories' over on football come from now...

        high five = hi(v)

I've heard an aids doctor, and someone working on aids drugs refer to it as this.

Headshops were a big deal here recently. Kind of semi legal drugs, sold from what used to be paraphenalia shops. Bathsalts nearly put a lot of heroin dealers out of business, as well as a lot of heroin addicts.

needless to say, if you were to use your products for their stated purpose things would go awry. Your plants would die, the incense was the foulest smelling substance on earth, and you'd never get out of the bath. it's just a fake name, so this guy literally could have been taking anything I suppose. But I just wouldn't bathe in it.

Educational standards in Oklahoma continue to fall.

A mentally impaired Oklahoma City man was held down and shocked in the genitals with a stun gun April 17 while his attackers forcibly tattooed the word “RAPEST” on his forehead, police reported.

The attackers also forcibly tattooed “I like little boys” on the man's chest, police reported.

          . . .

Johnson has covered up “RAPEST,” apparently a misspelling of “rapist,” with a tattoo resembling a bar code.

Probably should go in football, but I think it deserves a place here owing to the fact my mouth was open for at least ten minutes afterwards.

Kazakh player banned for life for making Nigel de Jong's challenge on Xabi Alonso at the WC final look like a kind old gentleman selling an ice cream to schoolchildren.

Mildly WTF, but funny: outside our office is a long plywood construction hoarding that's been mercifully free of postering for the two years it's been there.

Last week we put up a mock ad poster to do a photo shoot on the hoarding. For a lark, it was left up.

The next morning there were 38 other posters on the hoarding, and ours had been papered over.

You should have stenciled a POST NO BILLS sign on there. That always keeps the advertising posters away...

                      The WTF? Thread

Neo-Nazi shot by his 10 year old son.

A 10-year-old boy charged with murdering his father at their home in California was being exposed to his father's extreme neo-Nazi ideology of racism and violence at the time he allegedly turned a gun against him.

Evidence is mounting that Jeff Hall, 32, a white supremacist who led the National Socialist Movement in the south-west of the US, was involving his son in neo-Nazi activities before his death on 1 May.

Is there room here for the news that Herman Cain is suddenly a front-runner for the Republican nomination? Or should I keep that discussion for one of the US politics therads?

It seems just crazy enough for here, though.

According to the Sheriffs Department, four loaded guns were found in Kelly's car, including a 12-gauge shotgun, a pistol, and a revolver. The book "The Sociopath Next Door" was also found. Kelly told law enforcement that he is a sovereign citizen (someone who believes that almost all forms of government in the U.S. are illegitimate), and that he doesn't have to follow the law.

Griggs reports that Kelly was charged with "fleeing police, aggravated assault and weapons violations," but was soon released on a $32,000 bond Monday. He was then arrested again on the same day and charged with "firing at a building, firing from a vehicle and criminal mischief."
Seriously? They gave this guy, who doesn't believe any laws apply to him, has loads of firearms, just shot up a store and tried to run over the cops, bail? Why? For God's sake why?

                                    But wait, there's more!
As of Wednesday, Kelly was being held on a $575,000 bond.
They're offering him bail again? Are you fucking kidding me?

I'm assuming that they are reasonably sure that he can't post the bond, but it is Florida.

I'm surpised that they haven't found a meth or oxycontin stash yet.
