What I take from that article.

    Housing is very expensive.

The erratum at the bottom of Denise Johnson's obituary in the Guardian is a real doozy:

This article was amended on 27 July 2020 to replace the main image. A captioning error in photos supplied by an agency led us to publish a picture that was not of Johnson as claimed. It was further amended to correct the incorrect assertion that Johnson sang on Higher Than the Sun, to remove a video showing that song, and to correct Johnson’s age and date of birth.

I heard a thing recently about how intthe 50s the then head of the Oetker family launched an investigation into where all the art the family owned came from and anything that had been bought from fleeing Jews in the 30s was returned to their original owners. Which made me think positively of the family/brand. That "pizza" is beginning to erode the capital they built up with me.

I'd eat 20 of those before I'd touch the Hawaiian one.

We usually get the Hawaiian one and the spinach one. I'll admit, we've both given the chocolate thing a long look, but have never gone for it.

                        Oetker invented baking powder, innit?

It is the state of Platonic perfection that Nutella on toast aspires to.

A friend asked me to check where you can buy them in the UK. It appears that they were taken off of the European market last year because of poor sales.

Tell your <ahem> "friend" that a simple Google search will turn up both the Gourmet Chocolate Pizza Company (although they're not really pizzas as they're on a chocolate Base not bread) and a number of increasingly artery-clogging makecyour own recipes. Including one with a chocolate stuffed crust.

I think I bought my son one of the former for his birthday a couple of years ago and the latter really needs to be resisted.

As I'm sure my friend would say.

Though obviously it was actually my son that received the former.

                                      I'll stop now.

This article, about the fact that there are two very slightly different official lengths for the foot in the US, and all the weird rules about who uses which one where, starts out fully wtf-worthy. Then I think it gets interesting

So, L's aunt...her mother's sister...is a nut and was always a wild child. One of the family whispers is that she had a baby when she was 15 and gave it up for adoption. Whispers...as in it's true, but nobody talks openly about it.

It's also known that she attempted to find her daughter many years ago, and there was a Do Not Contact on the file.

Last Monday, her aunt got a phone call from the girl. She's 52 now and never knew she was adopted. She found the documents when she was cleaning up the estate of her recently deceased mother.

L's aunt text L's mother a picture of the daughter/woman, and damn but the resemblance is really eerie.

Even eerier is that I've known her all my life. She's a school friend of my sister's.
