I love stories where people who probably make $150K+ risk it all to make a few grand illegally. Like Martha Stewart losing something like a billion dollars to save 50 grand.

Makes one wonder about UBC Law.

Two stories that I think may top all others:
A naked man on a Florida highway who was shot and killed after he was found eating a homeless man's face off (Gawker apparently has photos of the victim, who survived, but I'm sure as fuck not looking at that)
A man barracaded in his house in Hackensack, New Jersey stabbed himself in the stomach and threw his intestines at police officers before swinging his knife at them.

The victim in the face eating case turns out to be a graduate of one of Manhattan's most selective high schools.
"Truman Show Delusion" on the increase.
He appears to be a perfect example of what psychiatrist brothers Joel and Ian Gold describe, in a paper published this week in the journal Cognitive Neuropsychiatry, as "Truman Show" delusion — sufferers believe they are "the 'star' of a reality television show secretly broadcasting their daily life, much like the main character in Peter Weir’s film The Truman Show." Between the movie's 1998 release and 2006, they saw five patients with the delusion, and news reports from around the world since then have turned up even more disturbing cases. With the increasing popularity of YouTube and reality TV, the Golds think the disorder is on the rise. "Truman Show" delusion may be the early 21st century's paranoia du jour.

Only the Dutch Army could have a full military brass band procession- on bikes. I’m particularly impressed with the drummers ability to hit the beat, cycle and keep in formation at the same time.
It’s a re-enactment of the pre-1940 Korps Weilrijders or Bicycle Infantry Regiment’s military band.
I keep envisaging them cycling and trumpeting proudly as they go off to repel the German invasion on May 10 1940 before pedaling furiously in retreat from speeding panzers and Stuka dive bombers sans musical instruments.

Looks like that was from last year, FF. Can't believe I didn't hear about that, since it was in LA.
Also this week, there was the former porn star who killed his boyfriend in Canada and dismembered the body. Oh yeah, and he apparently filmed himself doing that, and also eating some of the body. He's on the run in Europe, apparently.
There was also a guy in Maryland who also killed, dismembered, and ate some of the brain and heart of his victim this week.
What the fuck is going on?

Here's one that will resonate mainly with North American posters.
You know those 'evil Calvin' pissing stickers? The usual dynamic is Calvin pissing on Ford logo (as seen on Chevy trucks) and Calvin pissing on Chevy logo (as seen on Ford trucks). This is the dynamic. These are the rivalries. It's understood.
Last week I saw a guy driving a Honda with a Calvin pissing on a Chrysler logo sticker. What next: Hyundai driver with Calvin pissing on Nissan?
(For the uninitiated, they look like this).

That's what's so baffling. I mean, who picks on Chrysler? It's like picking on the sickly red-headed stepchild of the automotive world. That said, they're apparently shifting more Challengers than Chevy is Camaros, so they may be on the upswing.
