However no mention of the 'accident' in taking a dick pic in the first place.

Reportedly, Northam's neo-Confederate opponent in last November's election was aware of this, but chose not to use it lest doing so would alienate his own supporters.

As so often with these issues, it's less what he did in 1984 than the wretched copy-and-paste statement he puts out, which screams "I don't get it, I'm spinning, not listening". Who are the idiotic advisers that these politicians listen to? Can't they consult a regular human being first, simply give them the prepared text and observe the eye-rolling? Do they say "this is what pollies and celebs always do, and it never works, so of course we'll do it".
Front up, have a conversation and say "I was an asshole". And the moment you want to say "but ...", bite your tongue. (Governor, my invoice is in the mail).

OK... So some late-twenty-somethings are a few bricks short of a load.
I'm surprised that a college or university would produce a student yearbook at all. Is it common in the US? I've never heard of it here.Last edited by Amor de Cosmos; 02-02-2019, 05:45.

Liam Neeson admits to wanting to kill any random black man who gave him trouble on the street after finding out that someone close to him was raped by a black man. Then the Independent spins this as a fascinating look into the psychology of someone processing finding out that news.

Yeah, that's pretty crazy alright. Though in fairness to the indo, he does also say this.
“It was horrible, horrible, when I think back, that I did that,” he says. “And I’ve never admitted that, and I’m saying it to a journalist. God forbid.”
“Holy shit,” says Tom Bateman, his co-star, who is sitting beside him.
“It’s awful,” Neeson continues, a tremble in his breath. “But I did learn a lesson from it, when I eventually thought, ‘What the fuck are you doing,’ you know?”
ll three of us know – Neeson, Bateman and I – that this is a distressing admission. “I come from a society – I grew up in Northern Ireland in the Troubles – and, you know, I knew a couple of guys that died on hunger strike, and I had acquaintances who were very caught up in the Troubles, and I understand that need for revenge, but it just leads to more revenge, to more killing and more killing, and Northern Ireland’s proof of that. All this stuff that’s happening in the world, the violence, is proof of that, you know. But that primal need, I understand.”
I'm not sure that people are going to really grasp that he's talking about growing up in a culture of rage, blaming entire groups of people and taking out revenge. I would file this as.... extremely unwise.

There's got to at least be a 50% chance that he is going to make this much worse by trying to explain that it could just as easily have been "protestant bastard" as "black bastard". Oh well He's had a good career.Last edited by The Awesome Berbaslug!!!; 04-02-2019, 18:21.
