I had my hair cut today, after waiting my usual 6 month gap between trims. I still genuinely don't know how long I prefer my hair to be, but it does seem to get a little unmanageable after about half a year's growth.

How frequently to other OTF'ers get thair hair cut?

In other hair news, tonight I will be shaving off the beard I have been sporting for the past seven months or so. I'm getting a bit sick of it and with all the hot weather we've been having I don't want to get a two-tone face.

About once a month. Any longer than that, and my hair gets way too long...but rather than looking shaggy or being able to do anything with it, my hair just gets really foofy and stringy.

Erm about every 18 months or so. Which is why it looks like a bird's nest. But I don't really like the whole hairdresser experience.

It should be about 3 to 4 weeks, but usually I have a couple of extra weeks looking crap and shaggy bordering on bouffant before I get embarassed enough (or am using too many gallons of hair product) to take action.

I cut my own, and do the back and sides with the clippers every two weeks or so. The top, with scissors, gets a few snips (about twenty seconds' worth) every three or four days.

Every 4-6 weeks. My current barbers cut it to exactly the right length, rather than shorter than the ideal where it takes a week to grow back to perfect.

I popped in to my local stylist yesterday afternoon to book my latest trim, but, DISASTER, the bloke who's been doing my hair for the last five or so years has now left. I don't know what I'm going to do.

Like Hof, I just had to get rid of my goatee last week, to avoid 'suntan shadow beard'.
