So what are we to make of the election results?

Centre-right landslide = more friendly to depredations of global capital?

Even more friendly than the outgoing government? That's got to be tough.

Golden Dawn look as though they won't reach the 3% threshold for seats, which is nice.

Democracy is dead. When is the revolution?

I mean, aren't these (the center-right ND party) the same bastards whose false accounting led to the Greek financial crisis to begin with? That party should be electorally dead and buried.

But however shit disappointing Tsipiras has been, he looks like FDR next to the FF lads. Poor Greece and its voting pensioner bloc.

No-one ever forgives you for saving society or dealing with reality. They Blame you, regardless of whether or not its your fault, because something bad happened to them, and you need to be punished. Now they've elected someone who promises that he will cut their taxes, the stupid, selfish cunts, as though there is going to be any point in the next thirty years where they can cut their taxes.

This is why Greece wound up burning itself to the ground.

It's worth pointing out that Syriza hardly got blown out. They lost under 4% of the vote, and that's with Varoufakis's MeRA25 sailing into Parliament and the remnants of PASOK also increasing their vote share. If it wasn't for the 50-seat bonus the plurality party receives in Greek elections (which Tsiprias and Syriza tried to abolish, but failed to get the necessary parliamentary majority), Syriza could probably form a coalition or minority government.
