    Liberté, égalité, fraternité

Wait, wait. You're all missing the main point. Which is that Wyatt won his bet and is now loaded

I hope he's buying at the next Torontothon.

Though I hasten to add: "That's up to him"

No. The key...the cipher...the Rosetta Stone, if you will, is the phrase 'That's up to them, though', and I've not cracked it yet. When I do, all will be clear.

WoE - it's just that I see OTF as a bit like Shameless, post series 3. Lots of the best and most recognisable characters have gone, and the fresh and original format seems to have been replaced by a bad comedy/parody of the original.

I suppose the last thing this thread needs is an OTF naval gazing sesh, but fucking hell, there's almost no reason to visit this place anymore. That I spend so much time here is more of a comment on me than anything else.

Still, it's only a fucking message board, I suppose.

No. That's boiling it down a bit too much.

It's a place. A place where a lot of smart, funny people get together to shoot the shit and exchange ideas. And there's a couple of cunts that show up every once in a while to upset people. Nothing to get too worked up about, really.

If one does, though (and I have, for sure), maybe take a little break. A little one, I hasten to add.

Which would make you Frank Gallagher in this analogy, I suppose.

I have googled and it seems Frank is a 'professional drunk and full time bigamist' and 'Roaring drunk, colourful, angry and self-pitying,' So, yeah, I guess

I didn't realise you'd actually beoome a bigamist, Lyra. I'd have guessed "One's more than enough" would be your motto.

We do need to guard against too much of this "it were better in the good old days" stuff, EIM. While I think that's definitely true (I want my Horse, my SSS, my ad hoc, a damn sight more Matt P, a damn sight more PG, and many others; just listing them is pissing me right off) there are still really plenty of diamond geezers and geezerenes around.
