    Urgent German translation help needed

Tomorrow I'm running in the Dusseldorf marathon.

As is my want, I like to "amuse" my fellow runners with a witty poster on my back.

so, how do I say "Come on, you can beat a fat, English Trucker" in a way that will at least not offend anyone, even if doesn't make them laugh?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Best i can do is:

Sie sind bestimmt schneller als ein dicker englischer LKW-Fahrer, oder?

(You 're defintiely faster than a fat English trucker. aren't you?)

But I'm sure someone will improve on this

      How about this?

Gib Gas, du bist doch wohl schneller als ein dicker englischer Brummifahrer wie ich!

        Brummifahrer? Oh dear.

Many thanks to both of you. Sounds as if your Saturday evening is as scintillating as mine.

I'll go with your option, I think, Alderman.

I cant wait for the first Altbier after the race.

Oh, my evenings just fly by. Actually, I've got the snooker on, so all's not lost.

Good luck for tomorrow, and enjoy the first Altbier after the race (and the second, and the third etc.)

So "dicker" means fat? Good to know.

            Good luck Billy! Macht schnell!

PS You are so not dicker.

              How's about:

Ihr seid hinter einem dicken Inselaffen!

Come to think of it, you might be better off with something a bit less literal:

Achtung: dicker, englischer Lkw-Fahrer - Vorsicht beim Überholen!
