I bought a load of what I thought were sweet potatoes but now I've got them home the skins are bright purple and the flesh is white. What are they and can I use them in a curry?

The nicest thing ever is potato chips (crisps) made of sweet potatoes. Tough to get it right, but goddamn when you do.

So how was the curry?

the other thing I like to do with sweet potatoes is make a soup with them and butternut squash. somehow they are better combined.
