There's something about that evolution that bugs me. Why does the "Erectus" Cylon come before the stooping Cyclon?

I don't care if some of them are already taken:

Christ, EvilC, at least two of your choices, Maximilian and the giant Dr Who Robot, have fuelled more childhood nightmares than Uncle David (who isn't actually related to the family) and PE classes combined.

I do not thank you that my flashbacks mean I shall have to sleep with the light on this evening.

Two more favourites from my misspent youth:

              Alien 8, and

Klepto, looking more evil than he ever did in 8-bit.

                Well, that's just it.

I thought "which robots made the most impression upon me (in my childhood)?" Cue 'The Giant Robot' - which made me hide behind a cushion (and was Tom Baker's first assignment, IIRC) - and Maximillian, who was responsible for one of the most unexpected and horrible acts of violence in all of film, I feel.

Oh, hang on! Maybe Maximillian should be replaced with this:

                -

                -

                (Not the bloke, obv.)

                Sweet dreams, Ubik.

I was pretty sure, reflecting on this thread, that no-one had gone for these guys...

So: those guys. Clockwork robots in 18th-century wigs. Come on.

Doctor Who robots need a top 5 all of their own.

                    For now, I'll have:
