Spain dominating so far. I enjoy watching them like this, it's when they sit back and hold possession that has me sticking a sharp stick in my leg to stay awake.

Lawrenson was left exasperated earlier on by a foul given for a dangerous tackle where "the player got the ball". The BBC commentator explained that the ref thought it was dangerous, and the tackler was 'out of control' (is that the interpretation?) but Lawro sneered again "but he got the ball".
Not only does the man clearly have no more understanding of the rules of the game than your average bloke propping up a pub bar, but he clearly didn't understand the rules when he was playing, either, as I'm pretty sure that dangerous tackles would have been penalised in the 80s just the same as they are now. Just maybe not by refs at Anfield.
