Just been going through this page on the eight grounds that'll be used for the 2012 Euros, and they all - all of them - look markedly more attractive than the new Wembley. In fact some of them are positively winsome.

I'll be disappointed if they aren't in fact, all lit up in bright cartoon colours like on the sweeping video intro link to the draw yesterday.
On the subject of venues/stadia, there's a word of advice on the BBC page to fans now scouring websites with "UEFA approved match hotel" status in Donetsk. Apparently in order to meet UEFA's criteria of however many thousand approved hotel rooms it is in the city hosting the game, "Donetsk" now extends to about a 200 km radius, so the advice is be very careful (and maybe examine a map) before booking a "Donetsk" hotel. You might find you're not walking to the game ...
