There are quite a few South African's who hold Dutch passports, and even the odd Aussie like Dirk Nannes. This is a potential way into the England set-up as it allows them into the domestic game as European kolpaks, and then they can qualify for England on a residency basis.

This is the route that Ryan ten Doeschaete has chosen, and he's rumored to be lined up for England 'A' games this summer, and certainly Nannes would be a lively addition to the England pace line-up.

Have Holland ever thought about playing in the county championship?

Since I'm asking questions...

What is the tradition behind it being a county championship? It's not like that in football, where professional clubs are chock-a-block in some cities.

Ohhhhh yes, but the ECB were having none of it.

It's also a huge bone of contention that Scotland and Ireland play in the domestic limited over competitions but Holland doesn't - despite the fact that recent history suggests there is nothing between them in terms of quality.
