The greatest kick in sporting history
Tell you what... I'm not into rugby, but the Paul Thorburn kick mentioned in that piece is absolutely staggering.

The greatest kick in sporting history
My Dad took my Mum to that Charity Shield match at Old Trafford in '67. Certainly the first and only game of professional football she's ever been to. And she saw Pat Jennings' goal, while my Dad didn't (he was turned to talk to his friends who they'd gone with, all assuming nothing would happen immediately from the clearance).
When the roar went up, my Dad and his friends all turned and said "what happened?", and my Mum said something like "that man in green kicked it straight into the goal. Why don't they all just try to do that?".
