Looking forward to the new tennis season..

Should be a very interesting year...

Can Rafa repeat this years amazing performance?
Is his knee problem as bad as rumoured?
Will Federer even bother playing the French this year?

Djoko and Murray both ending last season on a high.

Can't wait for the match ups between the four of them!

Will Nalbandian finally show us a consistent run including a grand slam?

Federer will certainly play the French, he won't resist the knowledge that if, just if, someone else can knock out Nadal (or he gets injured), Federer can win, and do what Sampras never did (win a career Grand Slam). All he'll need to do then is regain Wimbledon, and he can retire after losing at the US Open as indisputedly the greatest player of the Open era.

I'd love Murray to win a Slam (preferably in Australia, to get the monkey off his back) but I'm not quite sure beating Nadal and Federer in the same Slam is within him, yet. I don't think beating Nadal and then Federer back-to-back would be possible for either of them, either, if there happened to be three players at that level. But odd things occasionally happen - maybe 2009 will throw up another Krajicek-Washington type final at Wimbledon, and it'll be Murray against a qualifier.

Fed has already announced that he will be only playing 2 clay tournaments in the run up to R.G.

      Keeping himself fresher than Nadal?
Nadal is bound to play 4 tourneys on clay...
